A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Monday, accused of punching and choking his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Angel Jaramillo, 18, was arguing with his girlfriend in the 6700 block of Indian Cove Road in Twentynine Palms about 11 a.m. The woman told deputies Jaramillo punched her with a closed fist four to six times. She grabbed a kitchen knife and ran to her car, but he took the knife and followed her and got into the car’s back seat. She said he grabbed her by her hair and started choking her. The woman went back into the house and got away from him. Jaramillo told deputies she sprayed him with pepper spray, but there was no evidence of spray in the car or at the scene. The woman had red bruises on her neck, a lump on her head, and her earrings were torn out. Angel Jaramillo was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
A Yucca Valley man was arrested Monday, accused of hitting his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Robert McKane, 48, was arguing with his girlfriend in the 7600 block of Valley Vista Avenue in Yucca Valley about 11 a.m. The woman locked herself in a room, and said McKane forced the door open, pushed her onto the bed, and hit her with a piece of the door frame, leaving bruises. Robert McKane was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
