DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARRESTS IN TWENTYNINE PALMS AND YUCCA VALLEY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday after his wife said he beat her up. According to a Sheriff’s report, the woman told deputies that she and Michael Cox, 50, were arguing on Friday when he punched her three times in the face, giving her a black eye and causing bruising and swelling. She was afraid to report him to deputies until Saturday morning. When deputies arrived at the home in the 6400 block of Mesquite Avenue about noon on Saturday, Cox was not at home. Deputies returned about 8:30 a.m. Sunday and arrested Michael Cox for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked him into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.

A spurned woman was arrested Sunday following a fight with her former boyfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Brianna Kush, 30, was arguing with a man about breaking up with her in the 5300 block of Lomita Drive in Yucca Valley about 8 p.m. The victim said Kush punched him four times on the right side of his face, causing swelling and lacerations. Brianna Kush was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
