A Twentynine Palms man was arrested early Sunday morning, accused of choking and punching his wife. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 6400 block of Desert Knoll Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 1:30 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. The victim told a deputy that she and her husband, Jared Yellowhair, 22, were arguing when the argument escalated and he began to choke her. When she tried to escape his grip, she said he punched her twice. After an investigation, Jared Yellowhair was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
