DOD WILL ALLOW PAYMENTS TO UNEMPLOYED CONTRACTORS

The newly-established class deviation to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act will allow agencies to reimburse contractors for payment to workers who are unable to work due to closures or other restrictions related to the COVID-19 outbreak. The deviation establishes a framework for contracting officers to determine, and claim, costs associated with the public health emergency, supporting affected contractors.
