DISPOSITION HEARING FOR YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE

Early disposition hearings are continuing for a Yucca Valley man arrested in November 2020, accused of child sexual abuse. The hearings are used to attempt to settle cases without having to litigate issues in a trial and use the court’s time and money to reach a verdict. Keith Tyerman, 34, appeared in court Monday (June 7) for the hearing regarding his arrest on November 10 following an investigation by a Riverside County Child Exploitation Team. The team was conducting a welfare check on a 3-week-old infant leading to Tyerman’s arrest in his home for suspicion of child sexual abuse. The infant was removed from the home. Tyerman was charged November 20 by the San Bernardino County District Attorney with four counts of sexual assault, including sexual abuse of a child, lewd acts with a minor under 14, and possession of child pornography. Tyerman is being held at the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $3 million. Keith Tyerman’s next scheduled court date is July 12, 2021.
