The giant redwoods of northern California aren’t the only plants that live incredibly long lives. Lots of plants in the desert live long and prosper in our harsh environment. Join botanist and interpretive specialist, Robin Kobaly, Friday, June 14, for the kick-off presentation of the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve’s Family Fun Fridays, “Discovering the Ancients.” The program begins at 7 p.m. at the preserve’s education center, and you’ll be able to test your skills at detecting the ages of incredibly old desert plants.
