The Morongo Basin Chapter #60 of the Disabled American Vets organization is seeking competitors for its inaugural Air Rifle competition to be held on the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Saturday, October 10. The air rifles used in the competition are modified so that any veteran with any kind of disability can participate. The competition is open to men, women, and children, as well as teams of five, and awards will be made in each category. Sign ups start at 7:30, the safety brief is at 8:45, and the competition begins at 9 a.m. For more information, call Keith Brownmiller at 760-831-9821.
