A Twentynine Palms dirt bike rider was arrested Wednesday after he led deputies on a pursuit in Twentynine Palms. About 8:30 a.m., deputies tried to stop Dakota Dyer, 21, near Gorgonio Drive and Ocotillo Avenue. Dyer failed to yield and led deputies on a pursuit, in which he sped through residential areas, ran stop signs, and drove on the sidewalk. After the vehicle pursuit, deputies caught Dyer near Gorgonio and Desert Knoll Avenue as he tried to flee on foot. Dakota Dyer was arrested for investigation of reckless driving, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held without bail due to four outstanding warrants for his arrest.
