DETECTIVES SEEK HELP IN YUCCA VALLEY HOME INVASION INVESTIGATION

A Yucca Valley home invasion robbery has been linked to several other robberies in San Jacinto and Rancho Cucamonga.  Reporter Ernest Figueroa was at a Sheriff’s press conference Friday at which detectives asked for the public’s help in finding two outstanding suspects…

On October 1, two masked suspects forced entry into the home of an elderly disabled veteran in the 57400 block of Buena Suerte in Yucca Valley. The burglars forced the victim to a back room and stole several items, including the victim’s wedding band and an iPad—both of which were later recovered in a pawn shop.

Similar robberies in San Jacinto on September 20 and in Rancho Cucamonga on October 3 involved at least two black suspects, who were armed with handguns, pepper spray and zip-ties used to rob the victims—which also included minor children.

Jeffrey Taylor-Thompson is suspected of participating in at least three home invasion robberies in San Bernardino and Riverside counties since September. He was arrested by Las Vegas police on an unrelated matter. Deputies are searching for Taylor-Thompson’s accomplices in the robberies.

Detectives identified Jeffrey Taylor-Thompson as a suspect in all three cases. Jeffrey Taylor-Thompson was later arrested by Las Vegas police on an unrelated matter and will be extradited to California to face charges here following the conclusion of his criminal case in Nevada.

Detectives are now asking for assistance from the public. Anyone with information about the identities of the two outstanding suspects is urged to contact the San Bernardino or Riverside County Sherriff’s office or call the We-Tip hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.
