In an effort to further lower the reduced annual assessment payments for property owners in Yucca Valley, Hi-Desert Water District staff will use property tax revenue to fund a financial assistance program in a form of a revolving loan. The Sewer Financial Assistance Loan Program will offer a $2,000 loan spread out over 10 years for residents who own and live in a single family home in Phase 1, and have a household income of $25,000 or less. This program will give about 100 property owners the option to receive a loan of up to $200 a year for 10 years to help pay yearly assessment payments. The loan will accrue an interest of 1 percent; that will help keep the loan revolving for additional applicants in the future.
