The body of a Desert Hot Springs woman and her dogs were found in her home following a fire Thursday morning. Firefighters responded to the 9200 block of Calle De Vecinos about 8:30 a.m. As firefighters entered the home, they found the body of Jane Engel, 70, and her dogs. Fire investigators are working to discover the cause of the blaze and the woman’s death.
