DESERT HOT SPRINGS POLICE ON MAXIMUM ENFORCEMENT PATROL THIS WEEKEND

A lot of people will be traveling and partying during the Fourth of July holiday, which means law enforcement will also be out in force. The Desert Hot Springs police will be conducting a maximum enforcement period during the holiday weekend. All available officers will be out on the roads for enhanced enforcement efforts, focusing on impaired drivers, distracted drivers, and other infractions, such as not wearing seatbelts. Nearly 400 people were killed nationally over the Fourth of July weekend in 2014. If you plan to drink this weekend, plan a safe way home before the fun begins by either designating a sober driver, or order a taxi, Uber or other ride-sharing way home.
