Media sources say the investigation is in regard to sexually suggestive communications on social media, allegedly made by Mondary to at least one woman. Deputy Chief Jim Henson will serve as the Interim Chief of Police while the investigation is conducted. Mondary left the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to become the chief of the Desert Hot Springs Department in June 2015.
