A Desert Hot Springs suspected man was arrested in the pre-dawn hours Thursday following a search of a residential home. Desert Hot Springs police, Riverside County Gang Impact Team, and Special Activities Unit, along with a Post-Release Accountability and Compliance Team, served a search warrant in the 66000 block of 4th Street. During the search, officers recovered and seized weapons and other items. Jesus Hernandez, 25, of Desert Hot Springs was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of an assault weapon, and violation of his post-release community supervision. Jesus Hernandez was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio and is being held without bail.
