Twentynine Palms firefighters had an early morning wake-up call today, when a mobile home caught fire in Desert Heights. County Fire Battalion
Chief Scott Tuttle said the call came in just before 3 a.m. for a double-wide mobile home in the 1300 block of Indian Cove Road. The home was fully
involved with flames when firefighters from Twentynine Palms, Wonder Valley and Joshua Tree arrived; it took 20 minutes to knock down the blaze
and several hours to mop it up. Tuttle said the cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation.
