The Psychedelic Music Festival, Desert Daze, with attendance estimated at 10,000, is coming to the Joshua Tree Retreat Center this weekend, October 14-16. The festival announcement caused some controversy with local residents objecting to its size and effect on local resources. The fifth annual festival, with passes offering camping and car camping on site and lodging are priced from $75 to $340, and is co-booked by Los Angeles’ Spaceland Presents and Knitting Factory Entertainment will be in Joshua Tree for the first time. Organizers say weekend and single-day passes are still available.
