A Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday after a deputy spotted him trying to push a woman out into traffic on the highway. According to a Sheriff’s report, the deputy was near Cholla Avenue and Highway 62 about 9:30 a.m. Friday morning when he spotted a man, later identified as Malik Mason, 20, grab a woman by her throat and push her toward the highway, while holding a young child. Malik Mason was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
