DEPUTY FINDS METH DURING PROBATION COMPLIANCE CHECK

A deputy making a probation compliance check Monday afternoon arrested a Twentynine Palms man after he was allegedly found with drugs. A deputy went to check on Steven Carreon, 29, in the 6500 block of Oasis Avenue about 1:30 p.m. According to the Sheriff’s report, the deputy found a large amount of cash and multiple bags of methamphetamine and other narcotics in Carreon’s possession, who also allegedly admitted to selling the drugs. Steven Carreon was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of methamphetamine for sales and was booked into Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
