The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a “jackhammer run.” About 8:20 p.m. Thursday, a man entered the Home Depot in Yucca Valley and stole three Makita jackhammers, totaling more than $1700 in value. The suspect is described as a bald Hispanic wearing glasses, a gray short-sleeve shirt with a black long-sleeve undershirt, black pants, and gray Chuck Taylor-style shoes. The Sheriff’s report says the man grabbed the jackhammers, ran out a side door and loaded them into a silver 4-door Kia, which had dents on the driver and passenger side. The car then went north into the Paradise Valley neighborhood of Yucca Valley. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
