Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect who robbed Home Depot Monday, and when confronted by store employees, told them he had a gun. According to a Sheriff’s press release, the suspect left the Yucca Valley store by the emergency exit about 10:30 a.m. Monday with several hundred dollars worth of power tools. When a store employee tried to stop him, the thief said he had a gun, and the employee backed away. The suspect fled into the desert, south toward Sunnyslope Drive. Deputies searched for the suspect for over an hour. They did not find the suspect, but they did find the stolen power tools. The suspect is described as a white male wearing dark pants, but no shirt. He was bald with facial hair. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
