DEPUTIES SEARCH FOR FOUR SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN VEHICLE THEFT, HOME BURGLARY

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating four people suspected of burglary in Yucca Valley and Johnson Valley. According to investigators, shortly before 7 a.m. Monday, a witness saw two men loading tools and an all-terrain vehicle from a vacant home in the 51800 block of Ocotillo Road in Johnson Valley, into the back of a silver Nissan Pathfinder. After the neighbor confronted the suspects, the men fled in a silver Chevy sedan, driven by two women, and left the Pathfinder in the road. Deputies determined the Pathfinder had been stolen Sunday from the 55100 block of Airlane Drive in Yucca Valley. Deputies discovered the home on Ocotillo had been ransacked, and a gun safe with 18 firearms were missing. The tools and equipment in the bed of the Pathfinder were valued at about $1,500 and were returned to their owner. The male suspects are described as white or Hispanic; the women are described as white with blonde hair, and white with brunette hair, both weigh about 180 pounds. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
