DEPUTIES INVESTIGATE SHOTS FIRED IN LANDERS SUNDAY

6

Sheriff’s deputies were called to a remote area of Landers Sunday night by a resident who said his home was being shot at by people inside one, possibly two vehicles, who were driving by on Rocky Acres Road. The resident called deputies about 9:30 p.m. to say that dark vehicles, possibly an SUV and a pick-up truck, were driving by his and his brother’s house and he heard shots fired. The resident went outside with his .357 magnum and fired back, but doesn’t think he hit anyone. Deputies made an area check but were unable to locate anyone or evidence of a shooting.
