Registered dental assisting students from the Morongo Unified School District’s Career Technical Education program gave back to their community last weekend through dental care. Reporter Andrew Dieleman explains…

Registered dental assisting students from MUSD’s Career Technical Education program traveled to the Indio Fairgrounds from March 22-24, teaming up with other dental professionals to provide much-needed dental treatment to the underserved residents of the Coachella Valley. The students took diagnostic x-rays, sealed and polished children’s teeth, and worked with dentists and dental surgeons during numerous restorative fillings and dental extractions. Approximately 728 people received more than $435,000 worth of much-needed dental care at the event.
