The Morongo Basin Democratic Club has awarded scholarships to four area high school graduates. Scholarship winners from Yucca Valley High School are Julia Martinez, who was awarded $500, and Thomas Geiger, who won $250. The $500 scholarship winner from Twentynine Palms High School is McKenzy Johnson; Courtney Stanford was awarded a $250 scholarship.
