DELAYED DEATH OF JOSHUA TREE MAN FROM FEBRUARY I-10 CRASH

A Joshua Tree man has died almost three months after he was hit on the side of Interstate 10 in Palm Springs. Riverside County Coroners say Gavin Alexander, 23, the driver of a pick-up truck, pulled over and exited his vehicle at 6:45 p.m. February 21, on eastbound I-10, 1 mile west of SR 62 in Palm Springs for unknown reasons. His vehicle was struck by another pick-up, causing his own truck to hit him from behind. He was taken to Desert Hospital where Gavin Alexander remained until his death yesterday morning.
