DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION

The deadline for students to submit their artwork for the Eighth District Congressional Art Competition has been extended until April 15. The competition is open to all high school students in the Eighth District. The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol complex for one year. Second place will be displayed in Representative Paul Cook’s Capitol Office, and third place will be displayed in the Apple Valley District Office. For more information on artwork qualifications and how to submit, visit this story on z1077fm.com.
 
The submission may be:
Paintings – including oil, acrylics, and watercolor
Drawings – including pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, and markers
Collage
Prints – including lithographs, silkscreen, and block prints
Mixed Media
Computer Generated Art
Photography
All entries must be an original in concept, design, and execution.  To enter the competition, submit an image of your artwork to [email protected] before April 15, 2016.
