The days are getting longer and that means it’s time to change our clocks again. Reporter Cassidy Taylor reminds to move your clocks one hour ahead before you go to bed tonight…
It’s never fun losing an hour of sleep, but hey, at least you’re not alone. On March 14, 48 states participate in the start of Daylight Saving Time by “springing forward” one hour, which means it’s time to change your clocks and your batteries. While most of our electronic devices may change their clocks automatically, this time also serves as a good reminder that it’s up to you to keep you and your family safe by changing smoke alarm batteries. Test the smoke alarm to ensure that it works and remember to check all smoke alarms monthly. A working smoke alarm can decrease a family’s risk of dying in a house fire by nearly 50 percent. Smoke alarms should be placed on every floor of your home, in every bedroom, and outside sleeping areas.
