To celebrate the 100 th anniversary of the birth of Nelson Mandela, the former president of South African and an anti-apartheid activist, Project
Sheba, the Joshua Tree Retreat Center, and Morongo Basin Unity Home are banding together with organizations around the world to celebrate with a #DanceLikeMandela fundraising event. Mandela once said, “It is music and dancing that make me at peace with the world.” The event is set for 7
p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center. Music will be provided by Hunter and the Wick’d. Admission is $5 at the door, and all
proceeds will benefit the Morongo Basin Unity Home.
