The High Desert Pregnancy Clinic’s annual Walk for Life, originally scheduled for April 4, has been canceled, and a cyber walk will take its place. Reporter Joshua King has more details on the change…
The High Desert Pregnancy Clinic has canceled its biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Walk for Life, originally scheduled for April 4. The clinic will hold a cyber walk instead. During a cyber walk, participants can walk, run, dance, or do any other activity, and it doesn’t even have to be done on any particular day. Participants will record their activity and post it to the High Desert Pregnancy Clinic’s Facebook page. Pledge sheets and donations must be returned to the clinic by May 31. For more information about participating in the cyber walk, call 760-369-8512, or visit the High Desert Pregnancy Clinic Facebook page.
The annual Walk for Life is High Desert Pregnancy Clinic’s largest fundraiser.
Each week up through May 31 the pregnancy clinic will post activities where followers will have a chance to enter a drawing for prizes. Kicking off the event is “Social Distancing Walking,” followed by an Easter egg coloring contest, a social media scavenger hunt, social media tag, more walking and then finishing up with a creative miniature golf event.
The event will be announced each Monday; progress will be posted on Wednesday and Friday’s posting will be a video on winnings and words of encouragement.
All participants have until May 31, to submit their pledge sheets and donations, either by mail or email. The clinic can take credit card payments online or by phone. For more information, call 760-369-8512 or visit hdpc.me and its Facebook page.
