Attention all “rockers, ravers, lovers and sinners”: The Cult tribute band Sonic Temple brings an authentic Cult experience to Twentynine Palms on Saturday night. The Cult was born when one of England’s leading metal revivalists formed as a goth band and was later resurrected as a stadium-filling hard rock act lead by shamanistic Ian Astbury. Sonic Temple promises to piece it all together when they hit the outdoor stage at Tortoise Rock Casino Saturday at 8 p.m. The free Live at the Rock concert series happens every Saturday night. Next weekend, Stoned Temple Pilots returns to Tortoise Rock to pay tribute to, you guessed it, Stone Temple Pilots.
