An argument over a crying baby led to an arrest of a Yucca Valley man for spouse abuse. According to a Sheriff’s report, Matthew Guerrero, 26, was arguing with his girlfriend about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 6300 block of Linda Lee Drive in Yucca Valley because their baby was crying and wouldn’t go to sleep. The woman told deputies that Guerrero started yelling, hitting walls, and then punched her in the face, and kicked and punched her in the back, all while she was holding their baby. The woman drove herself to the hospital for treatment of head and back pain and bruising and swelling. Matthew Guerrero was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
