CROSS-BASIN RIVALRY, “BATTLE OF THE BELL” FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT

Tonight (Friday, October 26), is the 51st annual Battle of the Bell, the rivalry football game between Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms High Schools.

The Twentynine Palms Wildcats have won the bell 13 consecutive years, going back to 2005. The overall record for the Bell game is 32 wins for the Wildcats to 18 for Yucca Valley. However, in 2018, the Yucca Valley Trojans have the better record: 6-3 overall and 5-1 in league play, compared to the Wildcats’ 4-5 overall and 4-2 in league play. This year the game will be played in Trojan Stadium in Yucca Valley. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as the game will draw a large crowd. The frosh-soph game will begin at 4 p.m. and the varsity game will start at 7 p.m.
