A woman who was reported as a critical missing person Wednesday afternoon was found safe in Riverside. Fran Waterman, 68, is from Riverside, but was being cared for in Twentynine Palms. About 3 p.m., Waterman wandered off from a location near the 72300 block of Highway 62, and Sheriff’s deputies were called in to help locate her. An employee at a gas station checked the video and found Waterman getting into a car with a man. Waterman was located safe about 9 p.m. at Kaiser in Riverside.
