CRASH INJURES MOTORCYCLIST, KILLS DOG

A motorcyclist was injured and a dog was killed Monday evening in a Twentynine Palms crash. About 11:30 p.m., the motorcycle rider saw a small black dog standing in the street in the 72900 block of Homestead Avenue. The rider was unable to avoid hitting the dog, which caused the motorcycle to go down. The rider was injured and flown to Arrowhead Medical Center for evaluation. The dog was killed at the scene.
