COVID-19 VACCINE URGED FOR CHILDREN 12 AND OLDER BEFORE RETURNING TO SCHOOL

3

With back-to-school just around the corner for many state school districts, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is encouraging families to make a plan to get students, ages 12 and up, vaccinated before the start of school. The vaccination process takes about 5 weeks to reach immunity, so families in schools that start in mid-August or early-September should begin the vaccination process as soon as possible so that children are COVID-19 safe before the first day of school.

COVID-19 vaccinations for young people ages 12 and over are widely available and proven in protecting against severe illness, hospitalization, and death. For the latest COVID-19 vaccine information or to schedule an appointment, visit VaccinateALL58.com.
