The County of San Bernardino is putting together a new countywide plan, based on community plans from recognized communities in unincorporated areas. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says local input will be taken…
In a first-of-its-kind effort, county residents will play a key role in developing a countywide plan. The plan, which will include specific community plans, will be used by county supervisors when considering development, county priorities, and budgets in the years ahead. Public input is being sought for the Joshua Tree Community Plan through a series of workshops, events, and through a comprehensive website. The first Joshua Tree specific workshop, entitled “What We Value,” is set for February 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Joshua Tree Community Center behind the Sportsman’s Club on Sunburst Avenue. More information, timelines, and relevant documents can be found at countywideplan.com. The site also offers an opt-in form to receive email updates on the Joshua Tree Community Plan. Additional workshops are scheduled for March and July.
