The new county library in Yucca Valley and speed limits in Joshua Tree are among the many items on the agenda when county supervisors meet at 10 a.m. in San Bernardino tomorrow. Reporter Mike Lipsitz is here with details…

At tomorrow’s meeting, county supervisors are expected to accept a gift of $85,000 from the Friends of the Yucca Valley Branch Library. The non-profit group raised the funds that will go toward purchase of radio frequency identification equipment, including self-checkout stations, early learning computers and tablets, and other equipment.

In other business, supervisors are expected to establish a 35 mile per hour speed zone on Park Boulevard from the highway north to Plaza Road in the Joshua Tree. The new speed limit is down from the existing, unposted limit of 55 miles per hour on that stretch of road.

Tomorrow’s meeting streams online and to the first-floor teleconferencing room in the County Government Center on White Feather Road in Joshua Tree where public comment may be made via live video link.
