The County run Covid-19 Vaccine and testing site at the Joshua Tree Community Center will close after May 4th. The site had been performing testing and vaccination on Mondays and Wednesday from noon – 4. That means the last day to get Covid-19 services though the County will be this Wednesday, May 4. County Supervisor Dawn Rowe Told Z107-7 News that the Joshua Tree Site was operating way below capacity. She pointed out there are other community resources located in that area, including:
- For Testing: Rite Aid in Yucca Valley, Walgreens Drive Thru in Yucca Valley, and Rite Aid in Twentynine Palms.
- For Vaccinations: Walgreens in Yucca Valley, Walmart in Yucca Valley, High Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, Morongo Basin Community Health Center in Yucca Valley, Vons in Yucca Valley, Rite Aid in Twentynine Palms, and others.
Public Health will also continue to provide mobile events to the Morongo Basin as needed.
