A handful of resolutions pertain to our Morongo Basin at tomorrow’s 10 a.m. meeting of county supervisors in San Bernardino. Barring any unforeseen changes, Pacific Clinics will be approved to receive $2.1 million over a four-year period to provide mental health services here. Morongo Basin Unity Home is set to receive an additional almost $300,000 along with a one-year contract extension to provide a variety of services to local victims of domestic violence. And the Town of Yucca Valley will likely receive $1.3 million and a four-year contract extension for providing animal shelter services in the unincorporated areas here. The Yucca Valley shelter is jointly owned by the town and the county.
Tomorrow’s meeting streams online and to the first-floor teleconferencing room in the County Government Center on White Feather Road in Joshua Tree where public comment may be made via live video link.
