Agenda item eight will update and amend contracts with two providers both of which serve local “transitional age youth” or those between age 15 and 25. Valley Star Behavioral Health will receive an additional $730,000 and Mental Health Systems, Inc. will receive an additional $1.7 million to provide services through June 2020. Both firms have offices in Yucca Valley as well as other locations. Looking farther to the west, supervisors are expected to approve an agreement between the Mojave Water Agency and County Service Area 70 W-4 in Pioneertown. The agreement will allow release of $46,000 in grant funds to pay for design costs of a booster station on the Pioneertown Pipeline Project. Tomorrow’s meeting will stream live to the first-floor teleconferencing room at the County Government Center in Joshua Tree where public comment may be made via live video link.
