When the county board of supervisors meets Tuesday, several resolutions up for consideration are from the newest supervisor, Dawn Rowe of Yucca Valley. Rowe was appointed third district supervisor last month following the election of James Ramos to the State Assembly. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has some specifics…
Agenda item three will re-establish the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council, or MAC, and post a notice of vacancy in an effort to solicit candidates to serve on the MAC. The previous MAC was dissolved, as required by law, when former supervisor Ramos left office.
Other board actions include the expected approval of additional support staff for Supervisor Rowe, as well as her nomination of Michael Stoffel of Highlands, to represent the our district on the County Planning Commission. That seat was previously held by Paul Smith of Twentynine Palms and also became vacant with Ramos’ departure.
Tomorrow’s 10 a.m. meeting in San Bernardino will stream live to the first-floor teleconferencing room at the County Government Center in Joshua Tree where public comment may be made via video link.
