San Bernardino County confirmed 88 more novel coronavirus cases and four more deaths Thursday evening (April 9). There were 729 cases, up from 641, and 24 deaths, up from 20 on Wednesday, April 8, according to the latest county data. Here in the Morongo Basin confirmed cases remain at 9. Yucaipa continues to have the most cases with 103, followed by Fontana with 87, San Bernardino with 62, Rancho Cucamonga with 48 and Redlands with 46. Of the 6,816 people tested for COVID-19 in the county, 10.7 percent had positive results, the county’s data show. Of those who tested positive, 48.3 percent are male, 51.4 percent are female and the gender of .3 percent of cases was unknown.
Most of the cases, 329, continue to be among those 18 to 49 years old, while 213 were 50 to 64 years old, 174 were older than 65 and nine were 2 to 17 years old, according to the county. The age of four patients was unknown.
