COUNTY RELEASES LOCATIONS OF CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES

The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health released a website Monday showing the locations of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county’s incorporated cities. So far, Yucca Valley, with two confirmed cases, is the only city in the Morongo Basin on the county’s list. Unincorporated towns of Joshua Tree, Landers, and Morongo Valley are not included on the list, nor is the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center.

As of Monday, 1,948 people had been tested and 125 have been confirmed to have the coronavirus; four people have died.

Acting Public Health Officer Erin Gustafson said, “Residents of cities not listed or with low case numbers should assume and behave as if there are cases within their communities, and [should] comply with the statewide stay-at-home order.”

San Bernardino County, which encompasses more than 20,000 square miles, has about 2.1 million residents.
