San Bernardino County recorded more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases Wednesday (July 15), for the second time. The 1,012 new cases nearly match the highest number ever — 1,024 on July 4. Combined with Tuesday’s 954 cases, it is the highest two-day total in new cases.
There are 136 cases in the Morongo Basin and three deaths. Yucca Valley with 82 cases and one death; Joshua Tree 24 cases and two deaths; Twentynine Palms with 17 cases; and Morongo Valley at 13.

Deaths: 310, up from 309 Tuesday
Hospitalizations: 603 Tuesday, down from Monday, July 13; Suspected patients: 73 Tuesday, up from from 64 Monday
Intensive-care unit patients: 174 Tuesday, same as Monday; Suspected patients: 5 Tuesday, same as Monday
Recoveries: 11,992, up from 11,370 Tuesday
Skilled-nursing facilities: Residents: 986; deaths: 146 as of Tuesday, according to the state. Employees: 580
