With overall logistics provided by Morongo Basin Haven, local volunteers spread out through our communities yesterday for the County’s 2019 “Point in Time” homeless count. Preliminary results show 121 homeless in the Morongo Basin. Volunteers handed out hot meals, backpacks with personal supplies and sleeping bags as the got general demographic information. The surveys will be used to determine future funding and resources for the homeless in the county.
