COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION TO HOST LIGHT TRESPASS WORKSHOP

The County Planning Commission will delve into the long-awaited proposed light trespass at a 1 p.m. workshop on Thursday, May 27, at the County Government Center in San Bernardino. Reporter Mike Lipsitz is here to shine some light on what the proposed ordinance requires…

As it stands now, the proposed ordinance would replace existing Glare and Outdoor Lighting regulations. The new Light Trespass ordinance would require all exterior light fixtures be fully shielded to minimize glare and light-spill onto adjoining properties, mandate warm tone light sources, and require all lighting use energy-efficient LED technology. The workshop will be live streamed to the video conferencing facility at the Bob Burke Government Center in Joshua Tree where the public is invited to attend.
