The County Planning Commission tomorrow will consider yet another gas station/convenience store on the highway in Morongo Valley. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has details of a public hearing on the matter…
At tomorrow’s 9 a.m. meeting of the San Bernardino County Planning Commission, chairman Paul Smith will convene a public hearing in connection with an application for a Conditional Use Permit to establish an almost 5,000-square-foot convenience store with 12 gas pumps on the southeast corner of Highway 62 and Senilis Avenue in Morongo Valley. The project, would be squeezed onto 1.2 acres next to the Village Food Mart & Deli and across the road from the Chevron gas station and convenience store. The applicant is seeking a variance in order to allow encroachment onto the street side and rear setbacks. The Planning Commission meets in the County Government Center at 385 N. Arrowhead Avenue in San Bernardino.
