Everyone who lives or works in Joshua Tree, Homestead Valley, Pioneertown and Morongo Valley, and who has an interest in the county’s future planning goals, policies, and maps should be interested in the upcoming meeting regarding the County Wide Draft Plan on Monday, September 10, at the Joshua Tree Community Center. This is part of the second round of regional open houses that include a presentation and opportunity to express your feedback on draft goals and policies, community actions, and the land use map. You can prepare in advance by reviewing information to be discussed at the meeting online at countywideplan.com. Monday’s presentation follows a half-hour open house starting at 5:30 p.m.; the meeting concludes by 7:30. The Joshua Tree Community Center is located on Sunburst Street behind the Sportsman’s Club in Joshua Tree.
