Governor Jerry Brown has appointed County Chief Probation Officer Michelle Scray Brown to the California Board of State and Community Corrections. She was sworn in Thursday. California law requires that one position on the board be filled by a chief probation officer from a county with a population of more than 200,000. Scray Brown will serve on the board in a part-time capacity as she will continue to serve as chief probation officer of San Bernardino County.
