Operating under COVID-19, nonprofits across the nation have seen rising expenses and falling revenue. And for many of the more than 5,500 nonprofits operating in our county, assistance is available to help them through the pandemic, but the deadline to apply is fast approaching. Here’s reporter Mike Lipsitz with details…
The Inland Empire Community Foundation is accepting grant applications to help curb the impacts of COVID-19 on nonprofits. Eligible nonprofits may receive from $2,500 to $20,000 in aid through the County Nonprofit Assistance Fund. The fund is on track to distribute $5 million in CARES Act monies. Grants will be considered for 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 nonprofits able to demonstrate they have experienced a loss of revenue or increased expenses made in response to the pandemic or to mitigate its effects on their operations. Applications are being accepted through November 11.
